Job interview Shops - Series of 5 Shops

Stage 1:  Job interviews -- phone and in-person 

This shop series requires you to interview for up to five entry-level jobs (e.g., cashier, server, salesperson) in your area and report on the process. Earn a minimum of $75.00 per phone interview and $250 per in-person interview. 

IMPORTANT 

You must be available for job interviews in the Houston, TX area by phone and in person over the next 1 to 2 months. 

You must be willing and able to travel to up to five in-person interviews in your area. 

You must be willing to provide resume information and communicate with employers about job applications. 

You must be female. 

OBJECTIVE  

The purpose of this shop is to gather insights about the recruiting processes at companies in the Houston area and to learn how the hiring practices for entry-level jobs are structured and implemented across different organizations. 

PROCESS 

This shop will take place in two stages: 

Stage 1: Submit your resume information and complete a brief biographical survey. 

Shop Payment: $17.50. 

Stage 2 [if selected]: Respond to and complete employer requests for phone and in-person interviews for up to five jobs in your local area over the next one to two months.  

Shop Payments: $75.00 per phone interview, $250 per in-person interview. 

The job applications will be for entry-level customer service roles in the Houston area's retail, hospitality, and food service sectors. 

You will interact with employers and interview for these jobs as yourself (no role-playing required), but you will need to express enthusiasm and interest in each role.  

You will continue in each application process until you are offered a role or rejected. You may be asked to complete additional assessments during the application process.  

You will be alerted about job application status and interview requests via phone, email, and a third-party platform you will use to track the job application process. 

COMPENSATION 

Stage 1: Resume and biographical survey submission - $17.50. 

Stage 2:  

Phone (less than 2 minutes), Email, and text Correspondence with a once-a-week tracking update—$5.00 per correspondence responded to, with weekly tracking.  (Maximum payment per correspondence).   

15 to 20-minute Phone Interview & Data Entry - $75.00* per phone interview. 

30 to 45-minute In-Person Interview & Data Entry - $250.00* per in-person interview. 

Incomplete Shop Series Report Submission (for shops that do not result in an interview) - $20.00 per instance. 

*Should the interview time run over, additional compensation will be added to the shop payment.
